Can my contacts subscribe to other email lists on the Unsubscribe Landing Page?
Yes.
Recipients can select Yes or No to decide whether they want to be subscribed to a particular email lis or not.
They can also choose Unsubscribe me from all mailing lists. If they select this option, they will be added to Pinpointe's Customer Global Unsubscribe List and won't receive any future emails.
How do database names show up on the Unsubscribe Landing Page?
Database names are what the database was named when the Pinpointe customer created the database in Pinpointe to begin with.
Therefore, it is best to use meaningful database names that resonate with recipients. Avoid names like:
- 081520_A
- CRM Dump
- Merged List of Dummies
Can my contacts subscribe to other email lists on the Unsubscribe Landing Page?
Yes.
Recipients can select Yes or No as to whether they want to be subscribed to a particular email list.
They can also choose Unsubscribe me from all mailing lists. This will add them to Pinpointe Customer’s Global Unsubscribe List and will not receive any future emails.
What kind of configurations does the Unsubscribe feature support?
The following scenarios are supported with the new Unsubscribe and Preferences Center:
- Customer sends campaign to single list OR to a segment which includes only 1 list: Subscribers can unsubscribe from the list or from all email. Only the list sent-to will be displayed + ‘unsubscribe from all’.
- Customer sends campaign to multiple lists OR to a segment which represents more than 1 list: Subscribers can change subscribe / unsubscribe preferences for one or more of the lists or from all email. Only the lists that were sent to will be displayed. If the subscriber status is Not Active on any of the lists – the email is still sent.
- Customer has many lists but wants to create a custom preferences center where Subscriber can select to subscribe / unsubscribe from the list of lists: The important differentiator here is this option may include one or more lists that the subscriber is presently not subscribed to.
- Recipient choices are updated: If the subscriber was not on one or more of the lists presented and chooses to subscribe, they will be added onto the list.
- Customer uses custom fields to segment: The subscriber can select their preferences. In this case, the customer creates a custom Update Preferences form.

* This code can only be used on your own website and will not be hosted by Pinpointe.
Since you will be using a linked unsubscribe page on your site, Pinpointe will not recognize that you have placed an unsubscribe link in your email campaign.
Here is the workaround:
- Create an unsubscribe link, but color it white.
- At the bottom of your email enter the following (you need the xx's on both sides) (Fig 8):
- xx unsubscribe me xx
- xx unsubscribe me xx
Fig 8
- Highlight only the "unsubscribe me" text
- Select the font color tool and change the color to white or your email background color
- Now select the 'link tool' in the editor to add a link. A popup link box will appear.
- Under URL type (Fig 9)
- %%unsubscribelink%%/
- Carefully delete the xx's on each end
- Save the changes on your Email Campaign
